Where to start….lets start with the my background. I’m a mom of two, I’m not a bodybuilder and never was a professional athlete but I always lived an active lifestyle and currently go to the gym 3-5 days a week to weight train. After two kids, I had a hard time decreasing my body fat and overall just felt bad. There’s too many differing ideas and opinions on losing weight and burning body fat, I wanted someone who would do three things:
 
1. Help ME decrease my bfp, not just give me a plan for 3 months (same as everyone else) and hope it worked. Matt checks in daily and adjusts accordingly to your body’s response, and it made all the difference
 
2. Someone who wouldn’t de-stabilize my hormones as we plan to have more children. In fact during my time with Matt I got pregnant and had a miscarriage and my hormone levels were the best they’ve ever been (a testament to his knowledge)
 
3. I wanted it to be simple, I wasn’t afraid to do the work but I needed someone to tell me what to do and I would do it. Matt kept it simple and it was up to me to be consistent.

I was lucky to have 14 years of weight lifting under my belt with no major injuries. However, in 2019 I had a complete tear of my tricep tendon while working out. After 2 months and still working out with a torn tricep I had surgery to get the tendon repaired. I was informed by the doctor that while they were reattaching my tendon they had to shave part of my nerve as well. I completed rehab on my tricep and was back to lifting weights. Unfortunately I had issues contracting that tricep and extreme tightness from my rear delt all the way down that back of my arm. Lifting my left arm over my head to grab something was difficult as was weight lifting in general post surgery. Some days the tricep wouldn't even want to cooperate and would not contract while working out. I was becoming extremely frustrated to the point I was questioning why I was still wasting my time weight lifting after all these years.
 
After 3 years of dealing with this issue and trying everything else out there, a friend referred me to Matt Brown claiming that he could "fix all my issues". I started with Matt in February of 2023. After a few sessions of shock wave therapy, cupping and deep tissue work I was able to extend my arm and feel my tricep contract. As the session continued all the tightness went away and I was able to workout like before. I still work with Matt weekly to keep my body
 
I would recommend Matt to anyone, especially those who are having any type of muscle pain, tightness, ect. He has helped me tremendously and allows me to move pain free and for that I am extremely grateful.

I met Matt Brown quite a while ago when he owned his Gym sweat. We hit it off right away. Sweat was a boxing gym and Matt and I both had addictive personalities especially about things we love to do. Well, I trained with Matt first to get in amazing shape but then it was to get in the ring for some fights. I have always been an athlete but he seriously got me some of the best shape of my life, which is saying a lot. Then tragedy hit. I was involved in a boat explosion down at the lake of the Ozarks. A good friend got killed and I got torn up pretty bad and I wound up in a wheel chair. It was the lowest point of my life. I eventually got up on crutches and did their PT but it wasn't good. I was so depressed. I have never been that low. I thought back to the time I felt my best and that was training with Matt. I hadn't seen Matt in while. He heard about my accident and was very concerned but I didn't know. I thought I had nothing to lose and went and saw Matt. Immediately teared up and he said of course I'm going help you. We're going to make you better no matter what is what he said to me and I believed him. He had a plan. We started the next week. I left him with the only hope I had in over a year. Today I can honestly say he was the kick start I needed. He helped me greatly and I got back to the a level I didn't think I could be again. I never stopped. Still to this day I go to Matt. It remains and will always be the place I go to work with a guy who is about the whole picture. He understands good days and bad. Pain and life's hurdles that can come between you and your health. He is realistic but holds you accountable. He isn't just a trainer, he is a coach for life. He knows how to train you for life and what life throws at you on a daily basis. He cares, but knows that through healthy choices on a day at a time basis gets you to the next goal. He has a humanistic approach knowing people aren't perfect.
